Short Biography
Dr. Jayson E. Rufino, born and raised in Nueva Ecija, is a distinguished educator, researcher, and dance professional. He holds degrees in Secondary Education, Nursing, and Educational Management, earning his Ph.D. from the Philippine Women’s University–Manila, and is currently completing his Master’s in Physical Education at the National Teachers College–Manila, where he serves as President of the Graduate Society in Education and Counseling. A licensed teacher with 20 years of experience, he is also a certified Dance Sport Adjudicator and accomplished choreographer. He pioneered the High School for the Arts at Mayapyap National High School, directed performances, coached dance teams, and earned multiple recognitions including Best MAPEH Teacher and Mr. DepEd Makati 2015. Actively involved in professional and civic organizations, research, and publications, he now serves as Physical Education Instructor at FEU Alabang, bridging inclusive education, arts, and community engagement.
