1st Research Colloquium (Department of Psychology)
1st Research Colloquium showcasing qualitative research, student insights, and meaningful discussions in psychology.
About this event
The 1st Research Colloquium of the Department of Psychology serves as a culminating academic event that celebrates undergraduate qualitative research and scholarly inquiry. Anchored on the theme, "Inquiry Through Human Stories. Illuminating Meaning Through Shared Experiences," the colloquium provides a platform for Bachelor of Science in Psychology students to present the findings of their research, engage in meaningful academic discussions, and contribute to the growing body of psychological knowledge through lived human experiences.
The event features oral research presentations and research poster presentations evaluated by invited psychologists, researchers, and industry professionals. It also highlights excellence through the Best Presenter and Best Research Poster competitions, recognizing students who demonstrate outstanding research quality, effective communication, and professional presentation skills.
More than a venue for academic assessment, the colloquium fosters critical thinking, ethical research practice, collaborative learning, and the translation of qualitative findings into insights that can inform individuals, communities, and future psychological practice. It reflects the Department of Psychology's commitment to developing competent, research-oriented, and socially responsive future psychologists.
