Personal Information
Short Biography
Fourth-year BS Computer Science (Software Engineering) student at FEU Institute of Technology, graduating September 2027. I build backend systems and work closely with databases, in Java and Spring Boot and in TypeScript. Built the rate limiting across all three backend services of Duo Piano, a live four-service real-time platform, and introduced the event-driven projection that decoupled them. Primary developer on VAMS, a two-term capstone on a 3-person team: an OpenGL teaching simulator in TypeScript strict mode with 250 passing tests. Also built marey, a compiler for a small language of my own design. Six public repositories. 1st Runner-Up, Database Category, 14th IT Skills Olympics, a nationwide competition spanning 50 schools. Dean's Lister for 5 consecutive terms. PMI Project Management Ready and ITS Python certified. Seeking a software engineering internship for December 2026. github.com/mkepg | linkedin.com/in/mikhaelgomez
