PHREB SOP Training
The PHREB-CIDTA SOP Workshop helps RECs improve SOPs through lectures and guided revisions aligned with Philippine Health Research Ethics.
About this event
The PHREB-CIDTA SOP Workshop is a specialized training designed to support Research Ethics Committees (RECs) in strengthening and improving their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with the guidelines of the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board. The workshop combines short lectures on key components of REC operations with facilitated sessions where participants revise their SOPs in real time with guidance from the workshop resource persons.
Participation in the workshop requires attendees to have completed the Basic Research Ethics Training and to be current members of their institution’s Research Ethics Committee. As part of the workshop requirements, participating institutions are expected to submit a fully revised SOP Manual after the training. This activity aims to support the continuous improvement of the FEU Institute of Technology Research Ethics Committee by enhancing its SOP Manual to ensure clear procedures, compliance with national ethical standards, and effective oversight of research involving human participants.
