About this event
Literacy is a vital foundation for a child’s academic success, cognitive growth, and future opportunities, yet many Filipino learners—especially from marginalized communities—continue to struggle with basic reading and writing skills due to educational interruptions, limited resources, and lack of individualized support. Assessments reveal significant gaps in comprehension and sentence construction, often worsened by overcrowded classrooms and scarce access to books or parental guidance. These challenges can lead to low confidence, disengagement, and long-term disadvantages if left unaddressed. Aligned with the NSTP’s mission of education and nation-building, this project provides targeted literacy sessions, creative learning activities, and mentoring to restore confidence, strengthen communication, and nurture a love for learning. By investing in children’s literacy today, the initiative empowers young learners while fostering community development and national progress.
