Kalinga sa Kalsada - A Donation Drive for Jeepney Drivers
To promote social awareness and empathy among students by engaging them in meaningful outreach and volunteerism.
About this event
To extend compassion and support to jeepney drivers affected by the ongoing fuel crisis in the Philippines, this outreach initiative aims to provide essential goods through a community-driven donation campaign. The activity will begin with an online donation drive utilizing QR codes to encourage accessible and inclusive participation from students, faculty, and external donors. Collected funds will be allocated to purchase basic necessities such as rice, canned goods, and other daily essentials. Following the procurement phase, volunteers will gather to pack the goods into organized relief packages. Given the strategic location of FEU Alabang near several jeepney terminals, the distribution will be conducted directly to drivers within the surrounding area. This initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters a spirit of empathy, social responsibility, and active community engagement among students.
