About this event
The Playbook will be conducted in two focused sessions:
Session 1: Sports Photography Essentials
This session will cover the basics of sports photography, from camera settings and capturing motion to positioning and framing. Participants will engage in live demonstrations or simulations, analyzing successful sports photos and taking sample shots with expert guidance.
Session 2: Writing the Game
Focused on the craft of sports journalism, this session will guide participants in writing game recaps, player features, and sports analyses. It will also highlight pre-game prep, interview techniques, and structuring articles under deadline pressure. A collaborative writing exercise will let participants try their hand at reporting a simulated game or event footage.
