Whether chasing a lead or drafting a deep-dive feature, this one-day intensive is designed to turn raw drafts into professional-grade campus journalism. The IJR x FEU-D Library Campus Journalism Writing Masterclass provides the Writing Department of The Innovator Jr. (IJR) with direct mentorship from four expert guest speakers, hands-on practice, and real-time feedback to sharpen their edge in News, Opinion, Feature, and Sports writing.

By participating in this mix of morning lectures and afternoon workshops, members will level up their technical writing, master ethical reporting, and produce high-quality content for the school community.

Who: All members of the Writing Department of The Innovator Jr. (IJR) in Senior High School.

What: An intensive Campus Journalism Writing Masterclass featuring four expert guest speakers.

Where: The FEU-D Library (Main Building).

When: April 22, 2026 (Wednesday), from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M..

Call Time: 9:00 A.M.

Why: To enhance technical skills, ensure ethical grounding, and maintain IJR's legacy of excellence.

How: Through focused morning lectures and category-specific hands-on workshops in the afternoon.

9:00 AM | Kickoff & News Writing: A general session for everyone to master the foundations of News.

10:30 AM | Quick Break: Recharge before we dive into specialties.

11:00 AM | Expert Dissemination: Specialized lectures for Opinion, Feature, and Sports.

12:00 PM | Lunch Break: Fuel up for the afternoon workshop.

1:00 PM | Hands-on Activities: Hands-on writing and real-time feedback from our mentors.

3:00 PM | Wrap-up & Recognition: Honoring our guest speakers and reviewing final outputs.
