Changing HERstory: Reclaiming their Independence through Knowledge and Intelligence
Access to practical knowledge in digital safety, technology literacy, and life skills is essential to help them thrive in a society.
About this event
The project will be conducted at The Haven for Women, a residential care facility located along Northgate Avenue, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. The center is operated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and serves as a safe refuge for women survivors of abuse and their dependents. Its strategic location in Alabang makes it accessible to communities in southern Metro Manila and nearby provinces, allowing it to extend protective custody and holistic recovery services to those in need. The facility provides counseling, medical and legal assistance, livelihood training, and spiritual enrichment in a secure and nurturing environment, making it a suitable site for community engagement and service-learning under the NSTP framework.
