This outreach event aims to raise earthquake awareness among Senior High School STEM students through engaging talks, hands-on activities, a real-life insights from civil engineers. Students will learn about the causes and impacts of earthquakes, the importance of disaster preparedness, and how communities can reduce risks. The program will also highlight the contributions of civil engineering in earthquake resilience, including how engineers design and construct earthquake resistant structures such as bridges, roads, and buildings. By understanding these principles, students will gain insight into the vital role civil engineers play in protecting lives and strengthening communities against natural hazards.
