Adopt-A-Freshie: Grow a Freshie is a mentorship initiative that pairs upperclassmen with first-year students to help them transition.
About this event
Upperclassmen volunteers (“Adopters”) are matched with selected freshmen (“Freshies”) and will serve as their guides throughout the program. Activities may include academic check-ins, orientation on campus life, bonding sessions, and simple tasks that help the freshies adjust and grow. The goal is to provide approachable support while fostering a sense of belonging and confidence for every first-year student.
