Mental Health Month Celebration: Art for Wellness!
A day full of color and creativity with the Guidance and Counseling Office, in celebration of Mental Health Month.
About this event
As American Modernism artist Georgia O'Keeffe once said, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way--things I had no words for."
This come-and-go event allows students to express themselves through avenues of visual art - whether digitally or traditionally - in a safe and relaxed environment. As a valuable tool in school counseling, art enables students to relay thoughts left unsaid, process their feelings, and alleviate stress.
Join us for a colorful day as we celebrate Mental Health Month over at the 11th Floor Student Lounge! Basic materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own (and maybe some to share with others as well 😊).
Seats are first-come, first-serve! But you can let us know what you expect (and what you may need) by pre-registering here: Access to Service: Art for Wellness! Pre-Registration.
